Matthew Ng

Matthew Ng, MD, is board certified in General Surgery and board eligible for Colon and Rectal Surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques along with robotic surgery for malignant and benign diseases including inflammatory bowel disease. He also practices transanal minimally invasive surgery for rectal pathologies. Dr. Ng has a deep interest for anal disorders as well, including anal dysplasia, hemorrhoids, fistula and fissure.

Dr. Ng earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois, and completed general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He then completed sub-speciality fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago.

Dr. Ng has written articles on a variety of topics including trauma, quality improvement and cardiac arrest. He has presented at the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) national conference, Southeastern Surgical Conference (SESC) and the Chicago Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Dr. Ng is a member of the American College of Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and American Medical Association. He is licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
