Help Us Recognize Excellent Nurses: Nominate a Star Nurse
In honor of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, the World Health Organization has designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. This year, The Washington Post and the American Nurses Association (ANA) are proud to partner to present Star Nurses, a new nurse-recognition event that will honor patient, consumer, and peer-nominated RNs — the best of the best — in the DMV area.
Were you cared for by a GW Hospital nurse with star qualities? Here’s your chance to give them the recognition they deserve.
Nominate a star nurse. The deadline to nominate is midnight on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
ANA will evaluate the nominations to select the region’s top six registered nurses. Two winners will be selected from each DMV region: two winners from Maryland, two winners from Washington, DC, and two winners from Virginia. The winners will be announced at a live event on May 12, 2020, the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth during ANA’s National Nurses Month celebration!
