The Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at the George Washington University Hospital offers a comprehensive program of evaluation and treatment for individuals who have developed speech, language, swallowing or cognitive deficits following an injury or illness.

Rebecca focuses on person-centered, functional approaches for neurogenic disorders and treats patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion, long COVID, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and neuromuscular diseases. Rebecca also works with individuals with head and neck cancer, primarily with those undergoing radiation treatment. She recently received the Distinguished Early Career Professional Certificate from the American Speech and Hearing Association for the advancement of long COVID management in her field. She leads the Long COVID Rehabilitation Clinic at The George Washington University Hospital and regularly presents to SLPs across the nation on long COVID management.

Over the course of her 20 year career, Jen has specialized in disorders of swallowing, voice and upper airway. She is trained in voice restoration following total laryngectomy and serves as a mentor to clinicians developing this skill. Jen provides evaluation of swallowing using Modified Barium Swallow Study and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing. She treats swallowing disorders using evidenced based therapeutic intervention. She also strives to provide comprehensive rehabilitation following patients’ treatment for head and neck cancer.
