Director of Electrophysiology, Associate Director of Cardiology
A cardiologist with over twenty years’ experience in the Washington area, Cynthia Tracy, MD is a professor of medicine and the director of cardiology services at The George Washington University Hospital. She is also on the team of the hospital’s Atrial Fibrillation Center, which offers the latest medical and surgical advances to diagnose and treat irregular heartbeats. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Tracy’s clinical interests include cardiac ablation, electrophysiology and device therapy. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. After her internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital, she went on to complete a fellowship in their department of cardiology.
Dr. Tracy was also a fellow in the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program for Women.
She is active in the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society and the American Heart Association. She lectures at both national and international medical conferences and has published several articles on the subject of catheter ablation and arrhythmia management.
