Outpatient Rehabilitation Sports Medicine

Sports medicine:

Therapists at the Sports Medicine Program uses three main stages:

  1. Focus on restoring correct joint biomechanics and movement patterns
  2. Progress to targeted strengthening to regain muscle balance and neuromuscuclar control and coordination
  3. Integrate functional and skill-specific training in order to return to sports. Therapists also teach ways to help prevent future injuries.
    • Manual therapy

    • Sport specific skill recovery
    • Plyometrics, dynamic balance and agility training
    • ACL injury prevention program
