Non-invasive DiagnosticsThe noninvasive cardiac laboratory includes tools that can help physicians diagnose a variety of cardiac disorders. Studies can provide doctors with information about heart valves, heart muscle and the coronary arteries, as well as possible congenital heart abnormalities.

Cardiac Catheterization

cardiac catheterizationCardiac catheterization involves the use of radiological equipment to diagnose heart disease. Interventional tools such as balloons and stents are fed through a catheter into the coronary arteries to reduce stenosis (blockages) and improve blood flow.

Heart Rhythm Disorders and Treatments

ElectrophysiologyAt GW Hospital, doctors can treat even the most difficult heart rhythm problems. Using all the resources available in our diagnostic center, doctors can determine the nature and severtity of an abnormal heart rhythm. Many heart rhythm problems require no treatment or can be handled by correcting underlying conditions. More serious conditions, however, may need more advanced treatments.
