The George Washington University Hospital (GWU) Women’s Board, Inc. (Women’s Board) is defined as a charitable organization under Section 501© (3) of the IRS Code of 1986. The corporation has demonstrated over 114 years of uninterrupted volunteer service to the GWU Hospital and Medical Center. The Women’s Board is organized exclusively to further the charitable and educational purposes of the Hospital, its constituents, and the local community in the areas of health care, education, health care advancement initiatives, patient advocacy, health care awareness promotion, and medical research.
