The program immediately follows an important panel discussion on Metabolic Syndrome and is part of the Foundation's ongoing outreach campaign—Health Across America.
Screenings and health fair provided by: Sister to Sister: Everyone has a Heart, Life Line Screenings, GWU Hospital and The Larry King Cardiac Foundation. In addition, the American Diabetes Association and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will be available to discuss metabolic syndrome and access to care for the uninsured. This program precedes the foundation's annual celebrity fund-raising dinner, "An Evening with Larry King and Friends," presented by St. Jude Medical Foundation on Saturday, May 3 at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, DC.
ABOUT LKCF:
The Larry King Cardiac Foundation was established in 1988 to provide funding for life-saving cardiovascular treatment for individuals, who, due to limited means or no insurance, would otherwise be unable to receive the treatment and medical attention they so desperately need.
