In some cases, urinary incontinence (urine leakage) can be treated with sutures (stiches) used to attached the vagina to strong tissue in the pelvis. Another option is to have a "sling" of tissue wrapped under the bladder and urethra. The ends of the "sling" are sewn to strong tissue in the abdomen.
