Tiffany Sotelo, MD, is the Director of The Pelvic Floor Center at The George Washington University Hospital and assistant professor of urology at The George Washington University Medical Center. Her clinical interests include female urology and urinary tract and pelvic reconstruction. She offers comprehensive expertise in urological disorders, specializing in voiding dysfunction, male and female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary tract reconstruction and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Dr. Sotelo has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She frequently has been invited to present her research findings at national meetings. Her research focuses on outcomes of artificial urinary sphincters and urethral slings for incontinence, and her research accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards.

Dr. Sotelo earned her medical degree from The George Washington University. She completed her general surgery internship and residency in urology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She also completed a fellowship in urinary tract and pelvic reconstruction at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. While at M.D. Anderson, she received fellowship training from internationally recognized experts.

James K. Robinson, MD

James K. Robinson, MD, MS is a board certified OB/GYN who performs minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic gynecologic procedures including myomectomy, pelvic prolapse repair, excision of endometriosis, and total and subtotal laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Dr. Robinson is an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology for The George Washington University School of Medicine. His clinical interests are in dysfunctional uterine bleeding, fibroids, pelvic floor prolapse and urinary incontinence, and chronic pelvic pain.

Dr. Robinson has presented at major national meetings including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO). He has been awarded numerous honors including the Jay M. Cooper, MD Endowed Award for best Fellowship Paper in Minimally Invasive Surgery and the Golden Hysteroscope Award for Best Hysteroscopy Paper, both presented nationally by the AAGL. He has published in major medical journals and has professional interests in gynecologic endoscopy, resident surgical education and surgical simulation.

Dr. Robinson completed his fellowship in Gynecologic Endoscopy at Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center in Newton, MA and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin after completing a Master of Science degree in Education at Mankato State University. Dr. Robinson earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Michael H. Phillips, MD, is a clinical professor in the Department of Urology at The George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Phillips' areas of interest include minimally invasive treatments for prostate problems, neurogenic voiding dysfunction, lower urinary tract reconstruction and kidney stones. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Phillips completed his undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated with honors from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was a member of the honor medical society Alpha Omega Alpha. His internship and residency in general surgery and urology were completed at The George Washington University Hospital.

In 1984, Dr. Phillips entered practice with the Urologic Surgeons of Washington. He previously served as the Medical Director of the Washington Continence Center: Institute of Pelvic Floor Disorders. Dr. Phillips currently serves as a Senator in the Medical Faculty Senate at The George Washington University Medical School. He has active hospital privileges at The George Washington University Hospital, Sibley Memorial Hospital and River Road Surgery Center.

Vincent Obias, MD

Vincent Obias, MD, is Director of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Department of Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Obias graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in science. He went on to earn a master's degree in physiology from the Medical College of Virginia, where he also earned his doctorate of medicine. Dr. Obias completed a general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, as well as a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery at Case Western University.

Dr. Obias has presented at many prestigious national meetings, most recently the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has co-authored numerous studies and has been published in several medical journals, including Diseases of the Colon and Rectum and the Journal of Surgical Research.
