The GW Pelvic Floor Center for Women and Men

The GW Pelvic Floor Center for Women and Men       Get out of the bathroom. Get on with your life.
Solutions for problems "down there."

When was the first time you noticed leakage or loss of bladder control? Did it happen while you were laughing? Sneezing? Exercising? You didn’t think much about it at first and now you’re probably living with it. This is not a normal part of aging.

Stop coping with small pads, dark clothing and embarrassing moments. The GW Pelvic Floor Center can treat your pelvic disorder to help get you out of the bathroom and on with your life.

The GW Pelvic Floor Center is a unique program dedicated specifically to restoring function in the pelvis for both men and women. Urologists, colorectal surgeons and gynecologists at the Pelvic Floor Center are committed to helping you make an informed decision on a treatment plan that is right for you.

What's your Pelvic Floor?

The GW Pelvic Floor CenterThe pelvis has a “hammock” or “sling” of muscles, located in the lower abdomen, that stretches across your pelvic floor.

For both women and men, the pelvic floor supports the bladder, bowel, rectum and urethra and maintains urinary and fecal continence. In women, these muscles support the uterus and play an important role in vaginal childbirth.
