Michael Hite, Associate Administrator

Michael HiteMichael Hite, MBA, RN, joined GW Hospital as an Associate Administrator in August of 2009. Mr. Hite worked most recently as the Interim Director of Operations for the GW Medical Faculty Associates' Department of Emergency Medicine. He has served in various leadership roles within the department, including with the Innovative Practice section. Mr. Hite's management experience includes extensive medical system business development, clinical and operational leadership, budget oversight, process improvement and risk management initiatives, government contracting and project management experience. Additionally, Mr. Hite brings ten years of extensive clinical experience caring for critically ill and injured patients as a trauma nurse at GW Hospital, and as a flight paramedic.

Mr. Hite is an adjunct associate professor of emergency medicine at the GW Medical Center. He earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science, Health Care Administration, both at the University of Maryland, and his nursing degree at Excelsior College. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
